Our Clients / ING 2008 F1 Australian Grand Prix

Boasting a seat metres from the action, fine food and entertainment, ING’s Turn One Club was the place to be for VIPs at the Australian F1 Grand Prix in 2008.

Client brief

Design, build and manage ING’s VIP hospitality suite and ING’s Grid Girls display, providing a fun, engaging and informative ING brand experience for VIPs and the general public.

ABT brand experience
Located at the end of the home straight of the Albert Park track and designed to entertain 300 guests, ING’s Turn One Club was perfectly positioned to view the racing. We created a refreshing and welcoming environment, transforming a large temporary structure into an oasis of comfort and refreshment using open space, contemporary furniture, and attentive catering service. Guests were entertained by interviews with Renault team drivers, ING Grid Girl visits and live links to the pits via video installations.

On the opposite side of the track in a purpose-built marquee the public could have their photo taken with the ING Grid Girls and receive an instantly processed photo memory to take home.

Results
After a very successful project in 2007, the pressure was on for ABT to do better in 2008. Client feedback from guests and ING staff was overwhelmingly positive and they were blown away by the Turn One Club.
